Sahaba collects no data. None. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and no third-party services. It works entirely offline.
What the app stores
Everything you do in Sahaba stays on your device. Your saved companions, reading progress, reading preferences, and notification settings are stored in the app's local storage on your iPhone or Android device, shared only with the app's own home screen widgets. Nothing is transmitted anywhere — the app makes no network connections at all.
Notifications
If you enable the daily reminder, it is scheduled as a local notification on your device, by iOS or Android. No notification service or server is involved.
Device backups
If you back up your phone — to iCloud on iPhone, or to your Google account on Android — your phone's own backup includes what Sahaba stored, so your saved companions come back when you restore. That backup belongs to your Apple or Google account; Sahaba never sees it.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app deletes everything it stored on the device. The only other copy is in your own device backup, if you use one, and you manage that in your phone's settings. Sahaba holds nothing anywhere else.
Children
Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app ever changes any of the above — for example, by adding an online feature — this policy will be updated first, and the change will be noted in the app's release notes.
